For our friends in the UK who are fans of live music, good food, and most importantly a great tasting pint, then the Middle-earth Beer Festival is for you! This weekend, April 12-14th, the Middle-earth Beer Festival will be held in the village of Hurst Green. This village is famous for it’s connection with JRR Tolkien and it’s Jesuit school Stonyhurst College, where Tolkien often visited and wrote some of the chapters of The Lord of the Rings.
Events at the Middle-earth Beer festival will include:
- Evening Beer Festivals each of the days you are there
- Live Music from bands such as The Ragamuffins, The Ribble & Booze Band, The Swing Commanders
- Live performances by the Penny Plain Theatre Company
- The Hobbit Olympics
- Animal display teams such as the Silverband Falconry Display Team and a Dog Display Team
The Festival will also feature a large assortment of beers to choose from, which they will spend Sunday, April 15th partying till they go dry!
