Patrick Stewart had a fun day in the “Multimedia-verse” today as he sparked some “controversy” with this Tweet;
How could the Captain not have ever had pizza in all his 73 years! After a flurry of “really” and ” Oh my God, you haven’t tried pizza before?”, Steward quickly posted a follow up Tweet to clear the air regarding the “slice” comment, along with his choice of hockey hat, and tiny soda;
All this fun and commotion didn’t go unnoticed as long time friend and notoriously funny Tweeter Brent Spiner weighed in on the conversation;
What struck me and tugged at my heart strings was a video posted from Comicpalooza 2013 posted by Oswald Vinueza of a question by Heather Skye.
“This was my question to Sir Patrick Stewart at Comicpalooza 2013. I wanted to thank Patrick Stewart for his speech at Amnesty International it personally help me put a name to the abuse, sexual abuse in my case, I had experienced in the past. He responded very passionately and the last thing I thought I would get at was a heartfelt hug.
When he embraced me he told me “You never have to go through that again, you’re safe now”. I just kept thanking him. I hope everyone who needs help in abusive or violent situations has the courage to do so. There are people willing and ready to help you.”

What an awesome guy. As for the pizza – I wish I could say I’ve never eaten it. I’ve eaten far too much pizza in my lifetime! LOL!
