The “Who-niverse” is on alert as a rumor regarding the possible announcement of who will be the twelfth Doctor!
Stemming from a tweet from a freelance writer (and quickly removed) regarding the twelfth Doctor that “Celebrity Mastermind was being bumped from its 7pm slot on BBC1 on Sunday evening, to make way for the thing we’ve all been waiting for”
According to Starburst Magazine, “this announcement is presumably to take place in front of a live studio audience, duped into believing that they were merely attending the recording of a pilot for a new show about long-running TV programmes, the first episode of which was, innocuously, to be looking back over fifty years of Doctor Who. Looking forward to the next few, more like.”
There have been many predictions of who would take the lead in the sci-fi classic including Ben Daniels, Rory Kinnear, Idris Elba and even Rupert Grint. Most recently, however, Peter Capaldi has leaped to the top of the list with “odds makers”. Doctor Who fans may remember his appearance in a previous Doctor Who episode from 2008, “The Fires of Pompeii”.
The BBC will likely confirm the program change adding more fuel to the fire! Doctor Who returns November 23rd.
