As of this writing, the following is nothing more than conjecture and rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.
Ewan McGregor, having expressed interest in returning to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, is purported to be in talks to bring the legendary Jedi Knight back to movie screens as a “Force ghost”. This comes after rumors that Ian McDiarmid may be reprising his role as Palpatine in Episode VII. Given how the mythology of Star Wars is constantly changing and evolving (see: the replacement of Sebastian Shaw by Hayden Christensen in the DVD release of Return of the Jedi), it’s not entirely impossible that Obi-Wan could return in a more youthful form for the next trilogy.
Plus, he’s a ghost. Last time I looked ghosts could do whatever they wanted.

I really hope this happens! I love McGregor! His ObiWan became my favorite character in the entire franchise.
Honestly, I don’t like the idea of the McGregor ghost because it would be a disservice to Alec Guiness just as the whiner edit it in Jedi was a disservice to Shaw. Now, McGregor in a spinoff I could totally get behind!
I wish it would happen but i think not because Obi Wan Kenobi is dead
