Amidst rumors of the premiere of Episode VII being bumped out of the summer 2015 lineup in favor of a Christmas date, GeektyRant and Latino Review have confirmed the rumor to be true. Episode VII will begin production on January 21, 2014 and will premiere during the holiday season of 2015.
Also of note is that director J.J. Abrams will be shooting the movie on film instead of digitally in order to re-capture the “feel” of the original trilogy.
