LOTRO Players Presents: Fellowship Walk 2013 Song

From the offcial LOTRO Players press release;

LOTRO Players is proud to present the official song for Fellowship Walk 2013. The Fellowship Walk is a yearly walk in Lord of the Rings Online to raise money for Child’s Play charity. This years Fellowship Walk hopes to raise $5,000 for the charity. The Fellowship Walk starts September 22nd and runs until October 24th.

Gry Aina “Achazia” Rudshagen, Composer, talking about The Fellowship Walk and Walk the Path, “I am glad to be one of the contributors on LOTRO Players. I think it is a perfect for place for me to write about what I do music-wise and the process of my work regards to ABC music in LOTRO. I hope I can help make the site grow, and I hope what I write will appeal to music-minded players that also love the music system in LOTRO.

Recently Mysteri, a host on LOTRO Academy and the organizer for Fellowship Walk 2013 event asked me if I wanted to write a song for the event. I did not need to think twice because it is nice to contribute to such a good cause as the Fellowship Walk.

Fellowship Walk 2013 seems to be a fun and a heartwarming event, but at the same time it has a quite a serious theme that lies behind, so I thought I wanted to make a song with a little melancholy with lyrics of hope. With help from Mysteri, I think we managed to make a nice song suitable for the theme and the event.”

Teri “Mysteri” Barnett, Fellowship Walk organizer talking about the song, “LOTRO Players is a perfect combination of all things LOTRO and the site keeps me busy writing fan fiction, puzzles, games, trivia and of course new player guides. I think it is important that players, whether new or old, have a place that they can go to for all the latest news, podcasts and guides amongst other things without having to search for hours.

As part of LOTRO Players and under my capacity as Events Director for the site, I have been organizing this year’s Fellowship Walk. I have a great team of people who have volunteered to help and there are also great people who are writing music. I approached Achazia shortly after Weatherstock V ended and asked if she would be interested in writing this year’s Fellowship Walk song. She said yes, lucky for me and together we have been working on the song. Achazia’s awesome music and I offered to write the lyrics to help out. I believe the song that we have finished up with, although isn’t a “lively” tune, is one that does encompass the more serious side to the Walk.”

Joel “Andang” Shepherd, Lead Director of LOTRO Players talking about the song, “I am so excited about this year’s Fellowship Walk. After just being established in June, LOTRO Players has been expanding rapidly and this walk shows how far we have come. This year we have so many people devoting their time to the walk it is quite amazing. I can’t wait to see how our growing community is able to support sick children in hospitals by providing games for them to play. The song that Achazia and Myst created really represents the spirit of the event. With everyone’s support we can truly help those children.”
