Wolf J. Sherrill of “Rise of the Fellowship” joins the cast of the new action fantasy web series, “The Rangers” which is currently in development.
The web series is about a special force of soldiers, known as Rangers, who were founded long ago by King Aenarion to guard and watch the borders of the Kingdom of Olaran. Each web based episode will follow the adventures of the unit of Rangers led by Lt. Brander Noke, also known as Wolf, and their new rookie Soren Fell. Together, they must help their world overcome its greatest challenge, as they face their own personal demons. Can the Rangers save their world?
The series creator, Ron Newcomb, an award winning filmmaker, is excited to be back working with Wolf. “In working with Wolf as ‘Baba Melvin’, I knew I wanted to do two things for my next project. The first was cast Wolf, and the second was to do a fantasy. The Rangers is exactly where I want to be.”
Wolf says about the project, “I couldn’t have been more pleased when Ron approached me with an opportunity to work with OAP again. Rise of the Fellowship was such a positive experience for me. I’m honored to be attached to The Rangers and excited to explore a challenging new character and genre. I mean, really… I get to hang out with friends and play with swords? With OAP it is all about good storytelling and I can’t wait to start shooting the next one!”
The series will also explore other cross transmedia options from a card game, to miniatures. They plan on making it an immersive experience.
Fans are encouraged to join them on the Network or on their Facebook page as they begin their journey.
