Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor

Shadow of Mordor is getting some feedback from the creators of Assassin’s Creed for being…um…let’s call it derivative.

And yeah…I can see what they’re saying. My reaction watching the official trailer was, “I loved this level in AC 2!”

From Shadow of Mordor.

And the commenters on the trailer (and also Penny Arcade) seem pretty on-board with a game set in Middle-Earth that plays like Assassins Creed and Batman Arkham Asylum had a baby. A menacing, dangerous baby. I know I want to play that game.  It looks epic!

  1. Yeah. That’s pretty much how I felt about it. It’s Assassin’s Creed that they attempted to shoehorn into the cosmology of Middle-earth.
