EXCLUSIVE: "THE QUEST" is Coming

“The Quest” is a new reality adventure that takes 12 lucky contestants on the journey of a lifetime when they enter the world of “Everealm.” For “The Quest”, the producer of the blockbuster movie franchise “The Lord of the Rings” has joined forces with the creators and producers of “The Amazing Race” to conjure a land of magic and malevolence, where mythical creatures lurk in the woods, agents of darkness stir in the shadows, and mystical beings infiltrate the keep. For 12 lucky souls, a fantastic world will come alive in a unique competition series where players will engage in epic challenges. Fantasy meets reality when one player emerges as a real-life hero.

“The Quest” is from Executive Producers Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri (“The Amazing Race,” Profiles Television), Executive Producers Mark Ordesky and Jane Fleming (Court Five), and Executive Producers Rob Eric and Michael Williams (Green Harbor Productions).

Recently Mark Ordesky stated,

“Ten years ago this weekend, THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING swept the 2004 Oscars in historic fashion. It was the culmination of an unprecedented, audacious creative effort which changed the face of fantasy film-making. It thus feels wonderfully appropriate that later this year Court Five‘s audacious TV series, THE QUEST, produced with Profiles Television and Green Harbor Productions will debut on ABC. THE QUEST’s origins can be traced directly to the experience of making Lord of the Rings. We took 12 amazing people with a passion for fantasy films, literature and gaming, and transported them into a fully realized fantasy environment to save a besieged mythical kingdom. You’ve never seen anything like it on TV. This summer, you will watch 12 fans become heroes…”

This “LARP”(live action role play) meets “reality show”, doesn’t have a premiere date set yet but is sure to be a hit with fantasy fans, “Mark Ordesky and I can’t wait to share with the world this summer on ABC. Real people in a magical kingdom! This one is for the whole family!” touted Fleming.
