Quidditch World Cup on Pottermore

The USA Quidditch team is heading into the Quarter Finals to face off against Liechtenstein. It may not be common knowledge that the USA has a Quidditch team, of course. If you didn’t know, but this news surprises and pleases you, you might want to know more. And if you already knew this information, you’re probably a member of Pottermore (www.pottermore.com), and you’ve probably been following the reports of Ginny Potter, (formally Weasley) ,at the Daily Prophet offices in Diagon Alley.

The Quidditch World Cup started this year with a spectacular and memorable Opening Ceremony on April 12th, 2014 (I don’t want to spoil anything for you – log in and read it yourself!), and the most recent news, the match between Wales and Germany (which Wales won) took place on the 22nd of May. Now the Wizarding World (and the enlightened, in-the-know Muggle world) waits with baited breath the outcomes of the Quarter Finals, which are made up of Norway vs. Bulgaria, USA vs. Liechtenstein, Brazil vs. Wales, and Japan vs. Nigeria.
