Royd Tolkien talks about his brother living with diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and how it’s prompted a feature documentary Royd is trying to get produced called “There’s a Hole in my Bucket” where the brothers travel to Queenstown in New Zealand so that Royd can do Mike’s Bucket List, including bungee jumping and more.
Motor neuron disease (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) is a serious and incurable form of progressive neurodegeneration – over time the nerves in the spine and brain progressively lose function. In the case of motor neuron disease, motor neurons – types of nerve cells – are affected.
