Pacific Rim Sequel and More – on the Way!

Legendary Pictures released a special message from Director, Guillermo del Toro regarding his epic action hit, Pacific Rim.

THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL!

With the success of this summer’s Godzilla, it is no surprise that the studio would want to capitalize on the “giant monster” genre. Along with the sequel, there will be an animated series and a continuation of the comic.

“We are happy to be bringing you more Kaiju, more Jaegers kicking each others butts!” said del Toro.

Del Toro confirmed Zak Penn and Travis Beacham‘s return to the film. It is too early to know if any of the other actors from the first film would be returning.

Pacific Rim:
“When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge.”
