Some really amazing things are finding their way onto the Internet from the Episode VII set!
Director Kevin Smith visited the set in London over the weekend and “I just started crying. I was connected to my childhood in such a primal way.” According to Yahoo!, Smith gushed for over ten minutes about the surreal experience in a way that spoke volumes to fellow Star Wars fans, the majority of whom can only imagine what a visit like that must have been like. For those of us stuck here in the real world, Yahoo! provides a full article of portions of Smith’s account. Break out the tissues, guys.
In other news, the Star Wars website unveiled two new cast members joining the team: Pip Andersen and Crystal Clarke, both newcomers to the world of film.
“The Star Wars universe has always been about discovering and nurturing young talent and in casting Episode VII we wanted to remain absolutely faithful to this tradition. We are delighted that so many travelled to see us at the open casting calls and that we have been able to make Crystal and Pip a part of the film,” said producer and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.
StarWars.com is also careful to add that production remains on schedule for a December 18, 2015 release despite Harrison Ford’s recent injury.
