The Verge reports today that an orchestra consisting of 250 people is set to perform during two screenings of the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy. New York City’s David H. Koch Theater will play host to this grand event from April 8-12 2015. Although screenings of the films have been accompanied with a full orchestra before, this will be the first time in America that the complete trilogy will be presented live in concert.

I need to see this. I saw Star Wars in Concert a few years ago and loved it. It was hosted by Anthony Daniels. Very cool and I think that night my nerd level was bumped up a quite few notches. Wouldn’t mind bumping it up a few more by seeing LotR in Concert.
Oh wow, Star Wars would be amazing to see as well! I’m so lucky- my boyfriend bought tickets to see this LotR in concert the minute he saw it was happening!
The article is quite interesting because it doesn’t
only reports
how an orchestra consisting of 250 people is set to perform during two
screenings of the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy. This is groundbreaking
because even though screenings of the films have been accompanied with a full
orchestra before, this will be the first time in America that the complete
trilogy will be presented live in concert.
With this upcoming event I am glad to see that many
people are going to or want to be involve. This is amazing because people are getting
together to not only admire the beauty behind the movies and books of the Lord
of The Rings but also to admire the great magnificence and complexity that
music involves. I think that this eagerness to be part of this event is great because
it shows how people want to have more knowledge of this the beautiful art of
the lord of the rings.
