The long awaited teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams continuation to the epic saga of Star Wars is HERE!
Abrams has captured the essence of the original film’s “real” movie sets and props mixed with the modern standards of today with what appears to be minimal CGI! Producer Kathleen Kennedy made note of this last year in an interview with Digital Spy;
“Looking at all the Star Wars movies and getting a feel for what even some of the early films did, combining real locations and special effects – that’s something we’re looking very seriously at.” She continued, “It’s using model makers; it’s using real droids; it’s taking advantage of artwork that you actually can touch and feel.And we want to do that in combination with CG effects. We figure that’s what will make it real” [source]
Also worth noting… NO LENS FLARES!
What do you think of the trailer? Are you even more excited for episode VII?

So the first story musing I have — this with the disclaimer that I may have missed reporting of these many months, and based on the fact that the EU is scrapped, thus there is a new timeline:
It appears that the presumption that the Empire has been defeated after the destruction of Death Star II, Vader, and the Emperor is unfounded?
OR, if it was defeated, what happened that the Alliance could not maintain their significant advantage…?
Definitely a heck of a tease. I am so excited for the film, I think it’s going to start a huge SW revival, and that’s awesome.
I think it’s too bad that Zahn’s Thrawn trilogy couldn’t “pass” for canon. I loved those EU books the most out the few I’ve bothered to read.. ….Anyhoo, I think this trailer looks fantastic and I’m finally again getting excited for Star Wars.
