Le Petit Prince (Eng: The Little Prince) by Antoine du Saint-Expurey is widely hailed as the most well-known and popular French book and has had fans of the charming story clamoring for a film adaptation for years. There’s a part of me that wishes the animation would reflect the utterly beautiful simplicity of the text…but it’s hard to tell with such a short trailer. I’m afraid animation has a modern tendency to strive to top whatever has come before; subtlety isn’t usually the goal. But it might be a wonderful film—I hope so.
