Terminator: Genisys is the fifth film in the franchise, and one that (like Terminator: Salvation was meant to be) is the first part of a planned trilogy. There has yet to be a Terminator film to match the second film, T2: Judgement Day, but that doesn’t mean they’ll stop trying until the rights eventually return to James Cameron.
