IT’S the Wizarding World like we’ve never seen it! The new issue of Entertainment Weekly has released the first images ever of the upcoming Harry Potter prequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! 8 new magical and stunning images of Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander are featured, giving us a glimpse not only into Newt’s character, but also the American Ministry of Magic:

America will definitely be playing an interesting role in the new (or should say old?) Harry Potter universe. Above, Newt is “inside the entrance of the majestic art deco-influenced Magical Congress of the United States of America (or MACUSA), which is the American version of the Ministry of Magic” (source). Plus, earlier today J.K.Rowling also revealed that the American word for “Muggle” is “No-Maj” (meaning “no magic”) and previously dropped hints about the American version of Hogwarts back in June.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is due in theaters Novemeber 2016 and will feature Newt’s adventures studying magical animals all over the world. While we still know very little of the film’s premise and what–or who– it will exactly be about, Entertainment Weekly promises more information in the upcoming issue:

“So what’s this movie actually about? What are the characters? How will Fantastic Beasts differ from the Potter films? What creatures can we expect? And what are American wizards like, anyway? We’ll have all that, interviews with the cast and producers, plus first photos from the set, and more.”
