Eve helps Nick transform into Renard. Nick as Renard holds a press conference and states he will be stepping down as mayor. Then the real Renard sees him on the television and takes off for the police station to confront him. Wu is able to stop him before the press sees the both of them together and ask questions. They are able to get Nick out before the press descends on the real Renard.
Eve, Rosalee, and Monroe search their books to try to find a spell to change Nick back because he did not change back when he had done what he set out to do as Renard. He and Renard confront each other and start fighting. Nick finally gets him to make a deal that would benefit the both of them. Renard agrees to go along with it and tells Nick if he ever sees him as a fake Renard, again the deal is off and Nick is dead.
Nick shows up at the shop and fills everyone in on what happened. He tells them that he, Hank, and Wu have their jobs back. Renard is still captain but not mayor. Adalind gets to stay with him and raise their son. Renard gets Diana. She gets angry and says she will not let Diana stay with Renard. Nick tells her she will not be giving her up just has to share. How long will the truce between the two of them last?
They could not find a spell even with Adalind’s help. Nick is told he may be stuck as Renard forever. Diana wakes up and realizes he is not her dad. She throws him across the room and it causes him to change back to himself.
A surprising twist at the end of the episode has people in shock. Meisner is back from the dead and waiting on Renard in his house. He confronts Renard and tells him he picked the wrong side.
