Legendarium TV Recap: Arrow (Season 5, Episode 13)

Arrow-Season 5 Episode 13- Spectre of the Gun

City Hall is attacked and D.A. Chase is shot. Several staff members are killed. The team works to track down the culprit and stop him before he can kill again.

Then Felicity tells more lies about her hacking. She is tracking down Prometheus’ mother and says the woman is good at hiding. Curtis and Rene have a rather heated discussion or argument about guns. We learn about Rene’s past before he became Wild Dog. Rene had a wife and daughter. His wife was killed and his daughter put in foster care because he was deemed unfit to care for her.  Curtis learns about them and wants to help him get his daughter back.

Meanwhile, Rene has become Lance’s assistant much to Thea’s dislike. Lance reprimands him for even carrying a gun because it is illegal for him to do so.

Then, Diggle and Dinah work together to find out the whereabouts of the shooter. They talk and he tells her to think of Star City as a second chance. Oliver and a councilwoman hold a meeting to discuss a gun control law for Star City that everyone will be happy with. He then introduces her to Rene as someone who feels much the same way she does about gun control in Star City.

They are able to stop the shooter from opening fire on the hospital. He is taken into custody without incident. The shooter had lost his wife and children to gun violence. He was seeking revenge on those he thought could have stopped it from happening or might have been able to save his wife and children.

Next week’s episode the team deals with three escapees from Iron Heights and the ACU intervenes to arrest Arrow for murder.
