Dave Filoni to direct Star Wars film set during New Republic

This announcement has been a long time coming. Dave Filoni is finally going to be in the director’s chair on a Star Wars film. The movie will focus on the New Republic, and close out the interconnected stories told in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and other Disney+ series.

What’s interesting to me is how this is worded (I’ve taken some of the wording from StarWars.com): “and other Disney+ series.” What other Disney+ series?

We know these are all interconnected:

• The Mandalorian
• The Book of Boba Fett
• Ahsoka

But what else? Here’s what’s not:

• Obi-Wan Kenobi
• The Acolyte
• Andor

What could be connected?

• Skeleton Crew

Skeleton Crew is the only one that is set in the proper era to be connected with the other shows. But is that the only one? Are they counting Rebels? Is Rangers of the New Republic still happening?
